    When being out of RC for twenty years I decided to require a small step back in. Being nostaligic for the gold

pan RC10 I ran within the eighty's and 90's I was comfy with Team Associated products, however involved with Ready to Run opposed

to building a kit. For the value this RTR truck is awsome and the electronics are leaps and bounds higher than what I used to run.

Out of the box, running 3300mAh and NiMh seven.two V batteries this truck was lots quick and I even have been experiencing 15-

twenty min run times. Probably not the most effective truck for bashing, but still a fun truck to relearn a way to drive with.

Being an TA product that is engineered on a championship platform there is lots of hop-ups available to create this truck as tough

and quick as you could need. The reduced maintenance with electric and brushless motors made this a nice choice on behalf of me. I

think anyone wanting to induce back into RC or learn RC for the primary time can't fail with the T4.one RTR Brushless. The

simplest half, I can use the controllers trim to slow the truck down enough that my five yr old daughter will drive and not worry

about what harm she will cause.

    Its not just like the car sucks. However it came from Team Associated with a bashed up controller steering

knob, and also the ESC is not terribly precise. But I expected TA to make a high quality car just like the t1 or similar traxxas

models. B+ for TA

    The shipping was insanely long. Almost two weeks to my door. Meanwhile I had the LiPO battery and also the

charger in 48 hours. Seller had Fed Ex pass the cargo to USPS and tracking it became a nightmare. Three words of advice to the

vendor: United Postal Service. FedEx may be a joke. When I stated that while not tracking info and while not a debit from my

account when some days that I needed to cancel the order, I was told by seller there would be a fifteenp.c restocking fee. What a

joke. Seller gets C+ for a few communication (DOES NOT ANSWER PHONE, only answered once 3rd email and amazon requesting to cancel

order). Not a nice seller, not dangerous, however not great.

This car is extremely fun, durable and can be used for drift or grip driving. The short wheelbase makes it a little sketchy when you let off the throttle at high speeds and tends to swap the front end for the rear end, but that makes it more fun in my opinion.
I would definitely suggest a second stock battery and the parallel connector for extended run times (one battery: 15-20 minutes, two batteries: 30 minutes). For long run times, I would highly suggest getting the (2) 2200mah LiPo batteries with the parallel connector (45 minutes of very hard driving).
The brushless motor is very powerful and drifts easily with the Gymkhana tires. A buddy tried my tires on his HPI Racing E10 Monster Mustang and the car would not stay sideways due to lack of power. The ESC (engine control) is easy to use with the LED. Easy to switch between NiMH and LiPo batteries and has 3 settings: Normal-full throttle/full reverse. Race-full throttle/no reverse, Training-Half throttle/half reverse. This makes learning the car a lot easier.
The electronics are O-ring sealed so you can drive it through water, just not submersible. I highly suggest taking them apart and cleaning after you encounter water because some residual will creep in.
The suspension is completely cusomizable: Toe in/out, camber in/out and ride height by the simple turning of a screw. The shock dampening rate can be changed by changing the viscosity of the oil. The differentials can be tightened or loosened for grip or drift by changing the viscosity of the oil.
The controller is customizable too: Center balance of the front wheels. Steering is adjustable from linear to exponential (for control while driving faster). The throttle trigger can be set 50 gas/ 50 reverse or 70 gas/ 30 reverse for more accurate throttle control. The Traxxas link encoding prevents other 2.4Ghz controllers from interferring with the car (we tried it with the HPI 2.4Ghz controller)
The car comes with all the tools required to take the ENTIRE car apart which is really nice.
I would highly suggest this car to anyone who wants a quality RC car and is willing to pay a little extra for that quality.

Great truck! fast, takes a beating, its everything you would want in toy truck. The price was great compared to other retailers
it came pretty quick. Make sure you order a charger because one is not provided for you. You must also get a pair of lipo batteries you'll be astonished by how fast this truck can go.

This is my first RC, im really enjoying it. I just wish it would of came w/ a charger for the price. Also make sure to but extra parts with order; bulkheads front and rear, and suspension arms lower and upper, i also got suspension screw pins set because not one screw is included. Update: It seems the "newer model" won't be available till Dec. or Jan., 2012. Since the only significant change is in the radio transmitter, it might be prudent to buy now if you don't want to wait.

These classic Tamiya models (Lunchbox, Grasshopper, Hornet, Frog) are educational because they come in kit form. Just a lot of parts in bags. Do not be intimidated. The instructions are outstanding. Great illustrations and minimal text. I can't think of much that is better for a boy's mechanical knowledge than to build one of these with his dad. I built a Falcon with my dad as a kid, and it is a great memory.
Performance-wise, this buggy will not be competitive in modern racing. The fron suspension is the double wishbone type, but has not shocks; just inboard springs. The rear suspension is independent trailing arm type, with aluminum-bodied, oil-filled shocks. Very nice. The spiked tires are very good in the dirt, gravel, or short grass. However, they will wear out VERY quickly on pavement. I recommend buying a set of rear tires/wheels from the Tamiya Subaru Brat for street use.
The Frog buggy includes three different gear ratios. The highest one is good for street running and yields a pretty impressive top speed; probably 20-25 mph. The middle one is good for all around use. The short one is good for tight tracks. You'll burn up the motor if you run the high speed ratio off road.
The battery holder is not quite wide enough for modern 6 cell NiMH battery packs. However, it is an easy fix. When you're building it, just put a couple washers under the side brackets to space them out a bit.
The wing is a bit fragile; if you flip the buggy a lot, you'll break it off. This is the case with all buggies of this type.
The body comes unpainted.
Overall, this is great fun.
If you're looking for something more high performance and modern, but also much more durable, take a look at the Traxxas Bandit. It is twice as fast, has independent double wishbone suspension all around, oil shocks all around, and is very easy to get parts for.
If you want something that can run on grass, look for a 4WD monster truck, such as the Tamiya Dual Hunter, Tamiya Clodbuster, HPI E-Savage, or Traxxas E-Revo. The Tamiyas come in kit form and you get to build them yourself. (this is nice, because you'll also know how to fix them when you break them)

Clearly one of the best. I got myself one of these when I was a kid oh say.. 20yrs ago.. Simply the BEST! I still have it and it still runs!
The Tamiya Frog is a classic among R/C 1/10 scale racers.. you know the name now live the game..Tamiya!

I've always loved building Tamiya models. They have the best detail, quality components and great instructions. I especially love the M chassis because they are so fun to drive. I painted this one to match our full-size Mini Cooper S and even my wife loves the look of this thing. GREAT decals, but I wish Tamiya would include the window masks like they used to. Can't go wrong with a Tamiya if you enjoy the building of the R/C model.

I own two of these. They are fun to build, and even better to play with.
The transmission is a 3 speed. First gear is very slow. Second is a faster. Third gear is my favorite and most fun because it is quite quick, yet still has enough torque to climb anything.
You can also lock the axles for full time 4 wheel drive, which I did.
This is a very reliable truck and it is very hard to break. I have only broken it once, only because someone crashed a very fast car into it.
Make sure you use liquid thread lock, which is supplied in the kit, on all the metal pieces that can come loose and fall out.
The leaf springs will get bent out of shape a lot.
Overall, this is a great truck. It will climb almost anything. You can take it sand, mud, snow, water (you have to waterproof the electronics though) and almost never get stuck. The ground clearance isn't so great, so it will get stuck on sticks or very tall grass.
You can beat this truck into the ground and it will keep on running strong. It will provide many years of entertainment.
For the inexperienced, beware. You need to buy paint, and paint the body. You also need to buy one servo for shifting, one servo for steering, you'll need at least a three channel radio controller, a battery charger and battery etc.
It can be become quite expensive, but in my opinion, it is worth it. If you buy your kids those cheap RC cars from Toys R US, save your time and money, and buy something professional quality like this.
I wish someone bought me a quality RC car like this when I was a kid. I went through so many toy quality cars that always broke, and couldn't drive well.

Originally, I was thinking about another (smaller, simpler...) RC kit by Tamiya. Then I bought this incredible F-350, being the "top" of Tamiya's current range (after longing for the "Bruiser" some 20 years ago..;) This F-350 is a dream come true - fun building it, yet more fun driving it. Definitely go for the LED lights, it makes the kit absolutely irresistable;)) Enjoy!
